Over 10 Inches of Rain in 48 hours!

From midnight of August 25th to the last drops at around 4:30 P.M. on the 27th, Monticello along with a lot of the surrounding areas got over 10 inches of rain.  Because the ground was already saturated from previous rains, the river that runs through the lower east side of our town overflowed with a lot of ditches and streets filling up as well that were a long way from the river.   The following pictures were taken as we drove around town.

Future Engineer

Recently Duaine had the man at the local hardware store install a speedometer/odometer on my bike.  Today our grandson, Ben Bollwitt, got one and installed it himself.    Grandpa was pretty proud.
